MY JOURNEY TO ENTERTAINMENT

"Leaders must be close enough to relate to others, but far enough ahead to motivate them."
-John C. Maxwell

During my education in Fine Arts, I began auditioning and performing in the entertainment industry. I had the privilege of working with celebrities and some of the most talented actors, singers, and dancers on the planet. This developed incredible grit and connections to people in ways words fail to convey. Above all else, it taught me the value of storytelling and the essence of what appeals to our humanity.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL

LIFE AS OTIS

This show was one of the most intense, exhausting, and beautiful experiences I have ever had. I had the opportunity to be selected by and work with Mr. Berry Gordy Jr. of Motown, himself! Do not be fooled; Mr. Gordy is in music, but he is all about business. I learned how to sell a dream from a legend!

THE MAGIC OF MICHAEL

Performance: Image

LIFE AS MJ

My first large-scale professional role was performing as Michael Jackson. I fully produced and cast the show. This was an exercise in communication and project management. The strategic TV placements, PR appearances, social media content, podcasts, and print ads, led to the show selling out every performance at every venue with an extended run due to exceptional sales! I owe this achievement to so many talented team members and it remains one of my most collaborative and proudest moments.

"Motown was about music for all people - white and black, blue and green, cops and the robbers. I was reluctant to have our music alienate anyone."

- Berry Gordy Jr.
